What gives you joy? Helping people in need gives me joy in life. And, if any of my small act of kindness brings smile on the faces it gives me the greatest joy.
What does ‘beauty’ mean to you? My perception and understanding of beauty have changed over time, with my personal experience. Now, how I see beauty is one’s inner strength and light-filled with love, kindness, and compassion. Every individual is a beautiful and unique creation of God. Feeling beautiful is realizing your inner self, accepting yourself as who you are, and loving yourself.
What is something you’re proud of that you and your body have done? I feel so blessed for every single day that my body has helped me to function in my day-to-day life. And one of the things that I am so proud of my body is that it held a beautiful life inside for 9 months and given me the opportunity to become a mother of my beautiful boy who is 11 years now.
What do you want our younger generation of women to know about appearance and beauty. (Perhaps this is a note to your younger self, what you wish someone had told you)
I wish I had this wisdom a long time ago when I was called various names and comments for my physical appearance (my acne marks, my short nose, my short height)
I would say to myself:
You know and understand yourself more than any other people in this world.
Do not let yourself down and get affected by the other person’s opinion.
Self-love and self-acceptance are vital
Do not lose your confidence based on how other people judge you and see you.
Smile and share your smile with the world, it is contagious
What do you do to keep your body strong and vital?
I love going for an evening walk, listing to the music, holidaying with family, dancing , travelling
Your favourite song/music: All of Beatles
Your favourite pastime/hobby: Watching movies
